A July 2015 report states that climate change risks should be assessed as threats to national security and public health. The report project, Climate Change: A Risk Assessment, was led by Sir David King as the UK Foreign Secretary’s Special Representative for Climate Change. The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office commissioned the report as an independent contribution to the climate change debate.
The focus of the report includes:
1. What we are doing to the climate;
2. How the climate may change in response, and what that could do to us; and
3. What, in the context of a changing climate, we might do to each other
