'Climate Change Wars’ interview with GMACCC Chairman

The Independent (UK) published an article entitled, “Climate change wars are coming and building walls won’t help, top general warns” on 26 October 2016. Major General Muniruzzaman (Ret.) was featured in the interview stating the dangers of the impacts of climate change with potential to “completely destabilise” the world.
The capacity of governments to peacefully deal with climate refugees was a major focus of the article, with General Muniruzzaman advising that “international understanding and mechanisms” are needed to enable mass movements of people to take place peacefully. “People have moved before. Environmental changes have forced people to relocate themselves historically,” he said.
