Jordan Koop

Jordan Koop works on climate change and energy security in the Innovation, Hybrid and Cyber division at NATO.  

Jordan is a subject matter expert focusing on climate change and security, awareness, adaptation, mitigation, outreach, the energy transition, risk analysis and diplomacy. 

Additionally, she supports the Environment & Resource Development Centre (EDRC) as a Policy Advisor, is a member of the Global Military Advisory Council on Climate Change (GMACCC),  a member of the Expert Group of the project on Climate and Security Action through Civil-Military Cooperation in Climate-Related Emergencies (Project CASA),  and a member of Women in International Security (WIIS).

Previously, Jordan worked at the German Marshall Fund of the United States in Brussels and has been a delegate to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties (COP26, COP27, and COP28).  

Jordan graduated Magna Cum Laude with an MA in Diplomacy and Global Governance and an Advanced Certificate in Global Risk Analysis and Crisis Management from the Brussels School of Governance in Belgium and obtained an Honours BA in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.
