This paper reviews the ways climate change is challenging global security and the role the military can play in addressing that challenge. The June 2014 publication is based closely on the Fifth Assessment Report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a comprehensive and relevant analysis of our changing climate.
The report is one of a series of thirteen reports published by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, based upon The Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).The information of the IPCC has been made public, and this briefing helps ensure that its value is delivered to leaders responsible for overall security.
